I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Laura Shaw, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW.) I received my Bachelors from East Carolina University in Psychology with a minor in Child Development and Family Relations. I then completed my masters degree at University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where I studied Social Work. I have been working in the mental health field since 2018, when I began as an intern, and I later worked in different departments of Coastal Horizons Center. I worked in group private practice from 2021-2024 before starting my own practice, Marigold Counseling PLLC in 2025.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy gardening and working in floral design. I have a very small floral business where I grow and sell seasonal blooms. Being outdoors brings me peace. I love spending time with family and being on the water whenever possible!
